Upcoming Rappers Speak Up About Racism Through ‘HAQ’

HAQ by The Poetic Revolution featuring Mc Menace is a song about the political and social injustice faced by Northeastern people residing outside the region. The artistes behind the song are DSquare from Tripura, Mc Menace from Nagaland and Mr Bunny from Manipur.

‘The song is based on our past and present experiences and is also about all the people who have faced many hardships over the years,’ share the trio. ‘It’s about how mainlanders don’t acknowledge us as Indians, and how this prejudice has led to chaos and loss of lives.’

The Poetic Revolution comprises DSquare and Mr Bunny. The rap duo are trying to make a mark in the rap scene with catchy flows and meaningful lyrics.

‘The song is a tribute to every person from the Northeast, especially those who have lost their lives due to racism and hate. It’s a message that we are all united and are a part of this glorious nation named India,’ revealed the up-and-coming rappers from Northeast India.
