Chester, The Hero Of My Childhood

1 Comment Uncategorized

Thursday night, social media went berserk over the news of Chester Bennington’s suicide. Much before its official announcement, a wave of sentiments took over social media by storm. One of the most iconic voices of the 21st century is no more. Never have I felt so numb, my thoughts failed to navigate words that can reflect my emotions. Linkin Park has been the source of inspiration for a million minds and it was more than a band to many including myself. It was a house full of energy, channelized through his vocals that has echoed in my conscience even on my most vulnerable days. The band which defined experimentation to its level best with ‘Hybrid Theory’ did not receive much appreciation on its recent pop-influenced releases. Now with the loss of its front man, Chester, the band has entered into the void. The hero of my childhood has given up to the tremors of his inner conflicts.
