Hip hop outfit, Foreign Flowz comprising of pioneering Indian hip hop producer/rapper, Stunnah Beatz and Banjop, a rapper/songwriter from Shillong are creating waves on social media with their fresh sounds. The duo scalped a massive feat by surpassing 100,000 views on their debut single, Rari on Youtube. Soon after that they released, ‘Moves’ which is also running strong with over 80,000 views on Youtube and they have achieved all this in just six months.
Recently, they also dropped their debut music video, Sidechick. Their approach is commercial but the content of their songs revolve around love, heartbreak, treason, treachery and the struggles faced by youngsters living in third world countries working hard to earn their bread and butter and make ends meet. They are managed by Shillong-based talent management group, MOX.
Stunnah started his career as a rapper but gained more attention after he started producing beats. He along with his producing partner, Sez have worked on many international hit projects including one for Warner Bros. signed rap artiste, Phora. They also won a worldwide remix contest by Strange Music. Stunnah is the man behind the beats of 101india’s ‘Anthem for the Northeast’. After working for almost three years as a full time producer, he decided to return to the rap game this year. And so, his collaborations with Banjop resulted in the formation of Foreign Flowz.
Apart from making infectious songs, the duo has performed in major venues and festivals across Northeast India since their inception. They recently completed a two city tour with producer, Su Real and are planning on doing an all-India tour this month. The tour will be a preview to their upcoming debut album, ‘Comeback’ which will feature guest appearances by international artistes and big names from the Indian hip hop fraternity, one of them being New Delhi rapper, Prabh Deep.
