In what is seen as a shot in the arm of the Manipuri music scene, 3 bands, namely alt-funk band ReCycle, pop-punk act Rubicons and post-punk heroes The Dirty Strikes are going on a 2 city tour to Myanmar. The first show was held at Tamu on the 13th of April. The second show is at Mandalay on the 15th of April where The Dirty Strikes will be opening for pop legends Michael Learns To Rock. Vocalist of The Dirty Strikes, Kendy, had this to share: “Yes, this opportunity is a great chance to reach out to a completely new audience. Hopefully, we will do well. Also, with the connectivity becoming better between Manipur and Myanmar, we will try doing more shows there. We are really excited about this one!!!” He signs off with a wide grin on his face.

EDIT : Due to tense political situation on the Indo-Myanmar border, the organisers decided not to take a chance and thereby cancelling the bands from the bill.
