Lou Majaw has something very special planned for World Music Day. The Lou Majaw Foundation has teamed up with Department of Art and Culture, Government of Meghalaya to organise ‘The Road Ahead’. All together 21 artists from Meghalaya will be performing at Soso Tham Auditorim on 21st June, from 3 pm to 7 pm. The best part is that everyone will be able to enjoy the event for free.
Ahowee a folk fusion band from Meghalaya, along with Dymbur, the experimental metal band known for their energetic live performances, will be performing at the event. Dewdrops, a reggae band based in Jowai, will be playing some new tracks from their upcoming EP. Another band that you would not want to miss out on is 4th Element, the only band in Northeast India that blends funk, jazz, R’n’B and soul.
So, if you didn’t have any plans for World Music Day before reading this, you do now!
