Here’s Why You Should Head to Kurseong For the Pine Tree Festival

Kurseong, a hill station and sub-divisional town in the Darjeeling, will host The Pine Tree Festival on 16th October. Now, while many music festivals are organized every year across India, this one is special because it not only promotes budding artists from the country but also gives a platform for locals to promote their commodities, cuisines and the like in addition to spreading awareness about conservation.

Going Green

The festival promotes Each One Plant One initiative. As part of this initiative, attendees will plant saplings and help spread awareness about global warming and other environmental hazards.

What to Do in Kurseong?

If you have some time on your hands before or after the festival then you should definitely –

  • Try the local food from small eateries in the alleyways.
  • Visit the local museum where they have many interesting items on display.
  • Make your way to Eagle Craig, a great view point with a garden on top of the hill.
