This year, many artistes from the Northeast came out with full fledged EPs or albums. We put together a list of some of the best ones that music lovers have been talking about.

#FeelingFrisky

The energetic, peppy and fun band Frisky Pints came out with their debut album and it is definitely an album that all music lovers should listen to. Songs like Goose Chase and Not For You speaks volumes about their versatility.

Songs of the Dusk by Krantik is an Assamese album where you will have a variety of songs that take you across moods and emotions. Quality lyrics and great vocals made for a memorable album.

Summersalt

Summersalt, the folk-fusion band from Shillong, sang for Rock On 2 which not many artistes can boast about. Working with Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy gave them a huge boost. The 12 songs bring forth the flavour of Khasi hills fused with elements of rock music.

‘Polar Lights’ from Nagaland is a band that is here to stay. There are six tracks in the album and tracks like ‘Into The Light’, and ‘Diamonds’ talk about inner emotions that are usually never expressed.

Sekibuhchhuak

Every song in this Mizo album tells a story and the music reminds the listener of the beauty of Mizoram. Literally, ‘Seki’ is the horn and ‘buhchhuak’ refers to its capability to pour out anything.
