Vivek Bardhan experiments with variant sounds under the solo project, Hues. His latest release, Oblivion, is an amalgamation of multiple genres blended with the rich and colourful culture of Assam. Vivek composed, arranged, mixed and mastered this soothing track incorporating elements of folk, electronica and rock. Not all experiments sound good but this one is a track that you should definitely listen to.
Directed by Krrishna Kt Borah, the video has beautiful montages of the rich heritage of Assam. Oblivion narrates the bond shared by a person with his native land. ‘The story is two-folded. First is the beauty of Assam, its culture, tradition, people and cuisine. The second story is of an individual in a state of oblivion who is trying to fight it through his deep connection with his motherland.’ Vivek further cites, ‘I present to you Oblivion, a perfect catalyst to beautify your perspective and open your arms wide to embrace the vibrant culture, rich nature and the fusion of beautiful music across genres.’
